The IOF Osteoporosis Diagnosis Course with Densitometry Certification was held for the first time in Hong Kong on 26 and 27th May 2006, preceding the 7th Regional Osteoporosis Conference. With the generous funding from the IOF and locate support from The Osteoporosis Society of Hong Kong and The Osteoporosis Centre of The University of Hong Kong, the Diagnosis Course was well attended by participants from the south east Asian countries. The course was conducted by Prof. Marius Kraezlin, Prof. Nicholas Pocock and Prof. Annie Kung. About 60% of the participants achieved the pass mark for certification. The 7th Regional Osteoporosis Conference covered 14 lectures delivered by 5 world-renowned speakers and 9 regional speakers and it had attracted over 300 participants.
